Table tennis is one of the indoor games played at King’s College, Budo, offering students an opportunity to develop their speed, concentration, coordination, agility and strategic thinking. The game requires quick reflexes, accurate ball control and mental alertness, while also teaching students discipline, patience and sportsmanship.
King’s College, Budo actively participates in competitive table tennis. In the 2026 USSSA Ball Games I, the Budo boys’ team competed in the group stages, recording a 3–0 victory over Ntare School after a 1–3 defeat to Namilyango College. Budo was also listed among the schools ranked in the 2025 Uganda Table Tennis Federation boys’ school rankings, demonstrating its continued involvement in the sport.
Through table tennis, students at Budo are encouraged to discover and develop their sporting abilities while representing the College in school competitions. The game contributes to the College’s wider goal of nurturing well-rounded students through a balance of academic excellence, physical fitness, teamwork and co-curricular activities.
