Sports are an integral part of life at King’s College, Budo, providing students with opportunities to develop their physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership and confidence. The College encourages students to participate actively in a variety of sporting activities, including rugby, hockey, cricket, swimming, chess and other games. Through regular training, inter-house competitions and participation in external competitions, students are able to discover and develop their talents while building a strong spirit of teamwork, resilience and healthy competition. Sports also provide an important balance to academic life and contribute to the development of well-rounded Budonians.
The College sports programme is supported by a dedicated Sports Committee comprising Mr. John Walusimbi (Director Co- curricular activities), Mr. Isabirye Ronald, Mr. Kamya Sylvan, Mr. Buyinza Mathias, Ms. Nansubuga Florence and Mr. Kyazze Sam. Together, the committee supports the planning, coordination and development of sporting activities across the College. Their commitment helps create opportunities for students to pursue sporting excellence, represent King’s College, Budo with pride and uphold the values of discipline, teamwork, fair play and determination that define the Budonian spirit.
