Luganda is an important language subject taught at King’s College, Budo, reflecting the College’s strong connection with the cultural heritage of Buganda and Uganda. The subject is offered within the school’s language curriculum at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels.
Through Luganda, students develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the language while gaining a deeper appreciation of Ugandan culture, traditions, literature and history. The subject also strengthens students’ communication skills, cultural identity and appreciation of indigenous languages. With dedicated teaching and learning, the Luganda Department continues to equip Budonians with the ability to communicate confidently in Luganda and appreciate the rich heritage associated with the language.
