Geography is an important subject taught at King’s College, Budo, helping students understand the relationship between people, the environment and the physical world around them. Through the study of Geography, learners explore Uganda, Africa and the wider world, gaining knowledge about physical and human environments and the factors that influence communities and development.
The subject develops observation, research, map-reading, fieldwork, analytical and problem-solving skills. Students study areas such as physical features, climate, population, agriculture, settlement, natural resources, urbanisation and environmental conservation. Geography also encourages learners to understand environmental challenges and think critically about sustainable development.
