Economics is an important subject taught at King’s College, Budo, equipping students with knowledge and skills for understanding how individuals, businesses and governments make decisions about the use of limited resources. The College has a dedicated Economics Department headed by Mr. Kitayimbwa Micheal.
Through Economics, students explore important areas such as production, consumption, markets, trade, taxation, employment, inflation, national development and economic policy. The subject develops critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling students to understand economic issues affecting Uganda, Africa and the wider world. It also provides a strong foundation for further studies and careers in business, finance, banking, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, public administration and other professional fields. This supports Budo’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing learners with knowledge, skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully to society.
