About This Program
The Advanced Level Sciences program is a two-year course (Senior 5-6) designed for students pursuing careers in medicine, engineering, pharmacy, and other science-related fields. Students choose from three main combinations: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM); Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB); or Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics (BCM). Additionally, all students study subsidiary subjects including General Paper and ICT. The program emphasizes practical laboratory work, scientific research, and critical thinking. Students sit for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations at the end of Senior 6, which qualifies them for university admission.
