OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT DEPARTMENT

CORE / ELECTIVE STAFFING SUMMARY ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT Business Education / Entrepreneurship department Elective 845 Entrepreneurship Education

 The department has 6 graduate teachers and these are:

 i) Mr. Mukasa Maurice, working as Head of Department ,Coordinator / supervisor / overseer of the activities and members in the department.

 ii) Madam Lydia Nankwanga Maganda, working as Minutes secretary to the department meetings and teacher.

 iii) Madam Zansanze Norah, who coordinates the ‘A’ level Ent. Educ class projects in the school.

• It’s a department that offers education services in Entrepreneurship Education as an elective subject which is compulsory in S.1 & S.2 and optional in S.3 & S.4, offered as a subject in the combinations such as MEE, HEE and LEE at A level.

 • Members instill knowledge & skill of Entrepreneurship into learners to enable them become job creators other than job seekers for socio-economic transformation and prosperity.

•Other teachers include;  Mr. Kasasira Julius, Mr. Walimbwa Benjamin, Madam Getrude Nabukalu Ofwono.

Entrepreneurship Educ has always attracted the biggest percentage of learners who opt for it.

• The performance has always been superb at UCE and the first UACE sitting in 2024 it was very good.

• Our main focus is practical skills in the world of business and commercialisation in all fields plus academic excellence in our learners.

 • Given the necessary resources, the gains shall always be witnessed.
