THE RED LIONS ROAR AGAIN AT NATIONAL SCHOOLS' GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

The fairways came alive with youthful talent and competitive spirit as the Red Lions Golf Club of King's College Budo successfully defended their title at the recently concluded National Schools Golf Championship.

The prestigious interschool tournament attracted 16 schools from across the country, bringing together rising stars from both the secondary and primary school categories in a celebration of sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence in golf.

Representing Budo with pride and determination, the Red Lions fielded an impressive team of 57 participants, comprising both boys and girls. The delegation was accompanied by their patrons, Rev. Abraham Kato Nkata, the school chaplain, and Mrs. Theresa Opio, whose guidance and encouragement played a vital role throughout the championship.

Displaying remarkable composure and skill on the course, the Budo golfers once again proved their dominance by finishing ahead of strong competitors, including Taibah International School, St. Marys' College School among others.

The victory not only reaffirmed King’s College Budo’s growing reputation in school golf but also highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent beyond the classroom. The championship showcased the discipline, teamwork, and resilience that continue to define the Red Lions’ sporting legacy.

Special appreciation was extended to the school administration for its unwavering support and dedication toward the development of sports and co-curricular activities. The continued investment in young athletes has greatly contributed to the team’s consistent success on the national stage.
